It was under 80 today. Yay! I still had the a/c on in my S, though.
You had to know this was coming:
Oh, Gene.

Come on and tell us what you've got for weather.

^ 6-10 inches of blowing snow tomorrow, temps falling into the single digits on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Happy, now?

Edit: From the NWS:

.. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 10 am Tuesday to
6 am EST Wednesday...

* snow accumulations... 6 to 10 inches.

* Timing... snow will overspread the area toward late Tuesday
morning and the midday hours, then continue through much of
Tuesday night. The heaviest snowfall is expected Tuesday
afternoon and evening, with snowfall rates of around an inch
per hour.

* Impacts... travel will become hazardous due to snow covered roads
and periods of low visibility. Areas of blowing and drifting
snow will develop especially later Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday
night as winds increase, resulting in significantly reduced
visibilities at times. The Tuesday afternoon and evening rush
hour will be significantly impacted.

* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Tuesday
afternoon, becoming north and northwest Tuesday night.

* Temperatures... mainly in the 20s Tuesday, then falling through
the teens and single digits Tuesday night.

* Wind chills... mainly around 10 degrees Tuesday, then dropping
to around 10 below zero Tuesday night. These values can quickly
cause frostbite to exposed skin and lead to hypothermia.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel
very hazardous or impossible.

Areas of blowing and drifting snow will greatly reduce the
visibility especially in open areas later Tuesday afternoon and
Tuesday night. This will result in snow blowing back onto
previously plowed roadways. Use extra caution while driving.

At 4 AM the fed gov't was open. By 4:30 it was closed. Probably a good idea. All area schools are closed in anticipation of a nasty afternoon/evening. This morning not bad. Our snow total seems to have increased - about seven inches here in DC, more north and west. Also, it's 38 right now, but will be 21 by 4 PM and single digits tonight with wind chill. Things don't get better until Sat, when we will be in the mid 30s. Brrr...

Well, if it helps any I could whine a little about how we are in a terrible drought and need rain *very* badly. And then there are the wildfires...

Nah, I think I'll just laugh at Patty teasing y'all and go for a top down drive.

It was very cold for us in Socal this morning. It was a brisk 47 degrees. I considered putting on some gloves, a scarf, and another sweater on before heading to work.
