Our mini blizzard did not continue...only a dusting. But very cold and windy today. Some records are going to be set - 11 degrees right now with a windchill of -9. Brrrr...

We got snow although I am having a tough time estimating how much.
All of the normal features to measure by are gone, long since buried.
And of course the wind is howling and it's blowing all over the place.
If I had to guess probably on the order of 8 inches, I don't think so but maybe 12"
it is still snowing. projection on weather.com look like it will end for us in about 3 hours.
and then the cold comes. Currently we're about 22°, heck almost beach weather.

I'm making coffee and I'll have my oatmeal then it's time to fire up the snowblower.
I also have to cutback some ice dams that are now ~ 12-15 inches tall.

gonna be one peach of a day.
Danny Glover said it best. 'I'm Getting too old for this S#^t."

AMENDED:
I put the 4 legged ruler out in the yard for his morning business trip.
We've easily got 12".

Talking heads say we are at 19". We've had thundersnow this AM. I think our area is in the thick of it right now. The blowing and drifting is amazing. This might be the nastiest of the storms we've had this winter.

70 here and sunny, headed for 75. Just saw the weather up there. You all are getting creamed some more.

Boltonblue I hope you solve your ice dam problem before it takes your roof. Don't hurt yourself doing that.

just had breakfast on the beach. Life is good.

Go ahead rub it in flts. I'll be there in 10 days for about 6 weeks or longer. This $hit should be out of here by the time we get back home.

Spent the morning raking on of the roofs and then shoveling snow away from the house and off the deck (which I have pretty much neglected over the last three storms). It seems to be stopping now and it is time to fire up the blower. I have blown a path around my house as contractors will need to come in to try to remove ice dams. I have water coming into the house, stains in the kitchen ceiling and walls and water in the basement.

Shoveled off the deck twice this week. Been using the rake on the roof daily. Snow blowing twice a day. At 11:15am it is -2 degrees here. Going out to snow blow and roof rake in a few minutes.

That stinks, Bill.

Rick hasn't ventured out yet. Winter sucks.
