Adhesive remover got on Headlights. HELP!
So, I used a headlight restoration kit a little while ago and it had great results but the electrician's tape that was provided in the kit also left a bit of adhesive around the headlights. I bought some turtle wax adhesive remover and lo and behold, it produced a terrible reaction from the plastic on my lenses
I've cleaned them and everything but it seems like the cloudiness is permanent. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what to do?
Thanks

Is the cloudy area rough to the touch? You might have to wet sand that portion off worst case scenario, try a claybar and some lube first and see if there is any improvement.
Next time use painters tape around areas to be masked off, it comes off clean and no residue. Good luck.

agreed with above, just wetsand it again like you are restoring the headlight and it should go away. thats so weird that it happened, ive used adhesive remover on plastic lens before with no ill effect, but i guess i havent used the turtle wax brand
