I don't know which clay product you're using but I use Griot's. The clay comes in it's own jar and the lube, Speed Shine comes in it's own spray bottle. You can order a kit or any of the items separately in varying amounts. Great stuff.

any detailers spray will work fine...

you just have to choose between carnuba based or synthetic.
the one that saving4one mentions is a good carnuba based product.
i use both carnuba and synthetics.

What is the clay for? I have noticed that after I use NXT followed by some carnuba, my paint does not "feel" smooth. Its shiny as hell but not smooth. Is this what the clay is for? Also, does anyone know is Meguirs carnuba wax can be layered? Thanks for the help.

You are keeping your clay way too long if you are running out of lube. Cut your clay into 4-6 smaller pieces. Use 1 piece for every couple of body panels and then throw it away. It is cheap and disposable. Dirty clay is the easiest way to leave what looks like sandpaper abrasion. I've fixed a few spots for people already because of clay damage.
