Default Does this happen when you was your car?

Ok, every time I was my car - afterwards when I'm drying it I notice I have water under the drivers side kick plate (black plastice trim piece with the s2000 logo when you open the door). When I'm drying the car I notice it because water keeps leaking out onto my nice dry surface. How is water getting in there & more important is some sitting in there causing trouble that I dont see yet.

it gets in there because the plate doesnt really form a nice tight seal with the door jamb (its plastic on metal). You can pop the plastic trim piece off easily just by pulling up on it, I actually just cleaned underneath mine today. I'm sure there is probably no damage underneath.

agree that you should see if it is loose and push it back down. it should snap in place.
you can use a blower from inside the car to blow out the water if you want to try to get the moisture out of the space.

i assume that this water leak is only with the door open?
(if its getting wet with the door closed, that is normal because the door has drain holes that will let out the water in the door, and thats where it drains)
