Gentlemen (and ladies of course),

I need an honest answer.
Has anybody managed to remove light scratches off their S2k's effectively by hand, or is this just babble from companies trying to sell their products? (Or perhaps am I doing something wrong?)

Sure, many products will work but must be used carefully. Removing scratches is done with a light abrasive that actually wears down the scratch so it blends with the paint surface. Since this process actually removes a layer of paint it must be done with a light touch and not too often.
