My buddy came over with his 2006 Civic SI. There are small water spots all over the car that he couldn't get off. After a wash i did the usual... start with the PC and work my way up. I got all the way up to a rotary with a 10 inch yellow wool pad and Optimum compound. I also tried yellow wool with Presta Ultra Cutting Creme (which is good for 1200 grit sanding marks). It was minimizing the appearance but the craters are so deep i'd have to take the clear down to almost nothing for them to disappear.

Those spots left little craters. The clear coat looks like it has chicken pox.

An optically perfect finish between all the craters.

That's terrible! It's amazing how bad a shape paint can end up in after such a short time.
