Corey Maurer (RESOLVED!)
Really sorry to see this. How someone stands when they're in the wrong is a true test of character. It's unfortunate that you've had to go through this with a seemingly "respectable" member. Hope it all works out!

Sorry to hear you had bad experiences. I had a pleasurable experience buying parts from you! Not to derail, but the trans is in and working great! Your packing was grade A

Glad the giant pillow arrived safely and is working as expected. Can you PM me how you shipped your tranny? (Shipping company, cost etc)
I feel like I've been in the movie 'Groundhog Day' the past few days; I called UPS Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning and relayed that I needed to file a claim/have an inspector visit my house to see the package in person. Each time, their response was "we'll forward your information to the claims department and someone will call you in the afternoon to arrange a meeting.' This morning (Friday), I dropped the package off at the UPS Customer Center in Chantilly. They reluctantly accepted the package and relayed that someone from claims will visit their site (likely in the evening). They also relayed that from this point on, all correspondence will be between UPS and the SHIPPER
I have a UPS account and the tracking is still listed, but the claim isn't, unfortunately. I do have a (seemingly) legitimate claim number though; so at least I have something tangible to pass on to PayPal.
Corey, I'm surprised that you're not cooperating through PayPal. This will not go away if you simply ignore the situation. You have until 01/19/2014 (PayPal's deadline) to respond. I suggest you do so. I also suggest reaching out to UPS (they will surely try to contact you within the next few days regardless).

He's been online here today.
When was the last time you talked to him?
Is he responding at all?

I'll send you a PM as well, but as mentioned, I used 100 cubic feet of bubble wrap, then put the wrapped trans in a large box filled with packing peanuts. Including insurance, it cost $135 to ship the trans to Colorado (from VA) via UPS.
PM'd
Update: I spoke with Corey last night (FB). He relayed that he's too busy to deal with this situation. My interpretation from our conversation is that Corey is going to keep his head in the sand and just let PayPal take care of it.
That sounds like someone who has already spent the money and is trying to buy more time. This is why I always get confirmation that my buyer is happy in the form of an IM or email before I transfer my money out of paypal.
