My Experiences with HardTopGuy
I feel the pain like the rest of these guys here waiting for our stuff to come. Well, If you can't run an organize business, just stay out of it or at least warn people what is going on his website. What i can't stand is lack of communication on his part..

I do not know the complete arrangement between Jeff and Boyland Honda, or his 'day job' , however it may have been a casual 'look the other way' re: Honda of America's normal policies of business (which has, on balance, been in our community's favor over time).
I wouldn't start out by being too belligerent with them. But if you do feel the need to go through them, be professional about it please.
At the risk of being one of those 'old timer's who come to HTG's rescue', most who deal with parts for our car are in a low-volume and unpredictable business and are pretty shoe-string to begin with. We've seen plenty of businesses go under, and I empathize for those who've lost out even though most people are made some restitution with a CC dispute.
We don't know what's going on in Jeff's life (illness of self, wife, child, etc.). It does seem odd (I myself have a small order from mid-May that has been paid but not satisfied), but I think most of us that 'vouch' for HTG are mostly saying he's been around long enough and done enough business, it's unlikely that this turn of events is some purposeful screwing of his customers but more likely his attentions have been focused elsewhere for whatever reason.
I would suggest though that if you haven't gotten your order, file a CC dispute and get it sourced elsewhere for the time being.
When I first heard that other people were also waiting, I guessed there must have been some reason to drop everything and was quite concerned for him but what can then allow him to service other orders?
If he has someone standing in and turning this stuff around, then surely they are getting our mails asking for updates..
I'd just like to know why now.
I had a little trouble in May, but ended up getting a hold of him and he took care of things. That was the last time I've ordered anything from him.
I feel bad for people who are left hanging, but why are people still ordering things from him? I'm assuming a big majority of his customers are people on s2ki and there have been several threads discussing this throughout the last month or two.

GaryB,
I totally agree. Now that some people are starting to get things I think it changes the complexion of the situation from when he just seemed to fall off the map.
I myself after reading frankcandy610's post sent Jeff another e-mail about my order.

It's not always about pricing. It used to be good, reliable service, a board sponsor, and though you could always call and get any stock parts at a reliably decent price, his website was nicely oriented towards packages of things that, particularly people who track/race their car, go through often.
I'm sure that most of you that haven't owned your S from the 'early days' also don't recognize how little of a market there was for our car, and parts were much harder to come by (e.g. you couldn't get properly made trackpads [fronts], you had to get DelSol pads and machine off the ears of the backing plate).
HTG has been around for a long time, providing a combination of stock and aftermarket supplies that were the things we needed, and not as easily acquired in one place at a decent price as is available now.
This is probably why so many 'old timers' pop up and have the instinct to defend him. However as things change, so must our habits. But despite that, I doubt many of us with longer memories will not instantly just start thinking badly of HTG.

Trusting the good side of human nature makes me want to believe HTG will do the right thing as soon as he is able.
I guess I should be "happy" about only being shorted a can of ATE brake fluid. But I went ahead and filed a cc dispute as I paid for it and delivery. The rest of the order was shipped fast and correct. Many e-mails and phone calls got me no where. Too bad but I guess I will be sourcing stuff elsewhere from now on.
Is there any way of telling when HTG last logged into this site?
Bloomin typical that everytime I've logged on in this last week I've seen his advert banner at the top of the page....grrrr!

I was really thinking my kit was going to show today....but it didn't.
I sent another email anyway just for the heck of it, I might try and title the next one I send 'this email contains pics of naked ladies' rather than 'outstanding order'.
Maybe he would take the time to open that one?
I also emailed Gary again at Boyland asking if he could get through to the guy and update me when I'm going tosee a return on the $660 I have paid out
