My Experiences with HardTopGuy
Just received an email from the Hardtopguy staff (Jeff) ... my parts were on backorder, they just received them, should have my shipment by Thurs/Friday. Hope is restored ... (at least for me and my order).

Hey everybody, I ordered a hardtop install kit last Friday 7/17. Then I noticed this thread and became concerned about HTG. I am happy to report that I received my order yesterday 7/21. I sent a note to Jeff suggesting that he work on his responsiveness and customer feedback. It looked like my parts were shipped by Gary from Boyland.
Okay everyone, I just had a conversation with Gary at Boyland Honda which partially explains some things.
In May, Jeff changed his OEM Honda parts supplier from some other Honda dealership (don't know who he used) to Boyland. So when it's a pure OEM product item, he sends an e-mail to Gary and they fulfill the order.
There was a period of time when, because Boyland didn't really stock any S2000 parts, there were some delays between them getting the parts and turning them around, but they've begun to mitigate that by trending what OEM stuff tends to move regularly and starting to stock it.
I SUSPECT that there may have been a number of orders (like mine, a small $23 rubber boot kit) that just fell through the cracks while he switched suppliers. And this switch is for an unknown reason to me. Perhaps it was non-performance on the previous Honda part suppliers' part.
The other part of Jeff's business is supplying non-OEM stuff, combining OEM and aftermarket parts, and overseas shipping. All overseas shipping is handled differently as it's a pain in the A$$, and I'm guessing Jeff has it all shipped to himself and he then re-ships overseas (just a guess).
None of this explains the non-responsiveness or excuses Jeff's poor customer service as of late. However it does start to paint a picture at least as to WHY some orders have been shipped recently, some with a bit of delay a little while back, and some (particularly from May) seem to have fallen into a black hole.
I've asked Gary to have Jeff call me (if he can get him to) and I'll see if I can get him to get public and begin to repair his reputation. Again, I'm not apologizing for Jeff, but he's been a good enough resource over such a long time for this community, I'd hate to lose him due to a small blip in his business.

Moving to stickies.
Clark... you need to make Gary @ Boyland aware of this thread.
FWIW I do not understand why Jeff can't find 5 minutes a day.. or a week.. or a month to update everyone and calm their worries. Its very uncharacteristic and unprofessional of him.
