srmp888@yahoo.com is a piece of art, I wouldn't trust him at all.

We had many issues before, where he would call me out for no reason what so ever.

Once I became a mod, he mysteriously stopped calling me out, since he knows that I can see his IP

Its been a month since I paid for the item and I still have not received a full refund. The refund that you initiated failed because there wasn't enough funds and paypal had to take the money out of your account. So why are you using money that isn't yours?
I can understand if you don't want to sell since you say the shipping is so high, and even if it takes your bank 5 days to get my money, you've still had it for over 20 days. You decide not to ship me the hood, keep my money, and post it for sale on s2ki with no notice to me at all? All it takes is 2 mins to issue a refund, and if you don't have my money, then just tell me the truth. It shouldn't be that hard to send the remaining $97.00 since you paid for your car with cash

You keep saying that you've sold a lot of stuff to satisfied customers yet no one seems to want to chime in and say anything good for you.

All in all it's been a horrible experience with this guy and I will be happy when it's over.
Almost 2 months now and this is still not resolved. aladdin20110 can post on this site but is not willing to respond to my pms or send me my money back. His last pm to me was on June 10 saying that he would be sending my refund, and of course, nothing happened. Anyone know or local to this guy?

[QUOTE=ECU Pirate,Jun 21 2008, 12:32 PM]I bought red/black ap2 seats from davgoat

During our communication, he stated that the seats were in good condition with no rips/tears.

The plastic covers on each side were scuffed badly. There was a small tear on the driver side.

well I think that ECU Pirate is right. After reading all this, it looks like you told him that they were not in perfect shape but you didn't explain the condition well. you just told him they are not brand new condition. You also told him that there were no tears and ECU Pirate says there is a small one on the drivers side. $50 won't make you richer. I dont know either of you guys but I think that $50 is reasonable.

There is regular wear on seats for a 35.xxx mile car and there is a seat with stains and tear. They are noth not perfect conditon but there is a huge difference between them.

I say refund the guy $50 and you'll both be happy.

BTW, you are saying that you only charged him $80 something for shipping where it was $100+. That is no ones fault. You personally told him that you got the quote from FedEx that it was $82. Why jack up the price now??

If you've only ever had black seats, you wouldn't know this, but those with red or tan seats will. If you wear shorts and drive your S, your body oils/dirt will impregnate the leather, thereby discoloring them. I suggest scrubbing the leather with the appropriate cleaner/conditioner.

It is not uncommon for the underpan of the seats to rust if it has been exposed to moisture or humidity for a period of time. And if that's the case, it is possible that the sliders need to be lubed/greased. I'm not defending either party here, but wanted to bring a couple things to light that may have been overlooked.

I do take issue with the buyer inflating a claim in hopes that it would be "negotiated" down to what he was really looking for. I would've never even known something like that was possible. Not saying this is the case, but it almost appears as if the buyer has tried the same thing before. Again, not pointing fingers; just my point of view. I did find myself having to read some of the paragraphs several times in order to truly understand what each was trying to say to the other.

A picture is worth a thousand words.... No matter how detailed you describe something via the written word (perfect, great, whatever), you can never put the picture you are describing into another member's head. This is why we have digital cameras. As a buyer, if you have seen pics of the item you are purchasing and you accept what you have seen in the pictures, money is then sent to seal the deal.

It doesn't seem smart to spend $800 on seats if you haven't seen every inch of those seats in a digital photo. Ask for more pics, do your homework....

Just my 2cents....

dont forget that you can take lots of pictures of the seat without revealing that tiny tear.

you can even photoshop it. just because he saw the pictures, doesn't mean that he should be stuck with what he got. The seller says the seats are in good condition for a 4 year old seat. this doesn't mean it should have a tear on

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that David did not photoshop the seats.

i didnt say he photoshopped it. i was just trying to comment on RevedOut.

This is the main point of my comment. Why was that tear not stated in the sale post or the PMs? Lets say you are selling a car on eBy. Wouldn't you state body damages on a car when you are selling it? If that damage is not pictures, why is the buyer responsible? did he have to guess that there might be more problems with the car than the seller states?
