aFe started as just an air filter company, I don't think you'll have any problems finding a filter from them

i know i gave this thing a hard time about the crappy plastic window, but now that its summer time and the weather is good i have had a chance to really test this thing out, i can say with out a shadow of doubt that this intake makes your car faster and more aggressive, you can hear it and "feel" it thought the steering wheel, defiantly passes the "butt dyno"

Very interested in this intake. Now I gotta decide the takeda or CT engineering.

I used a CT - Engineering foam filter in my own flow test recently and it was a restriction surprisingly, so between the two I would lean heavier on this AFE intake to actually flow better. It incorporates a well designed enclosure and a larger better flowing and filtering cotton filter vs the small foam.

so went to the track last week for the second time, went for the first time last year %100 stock with yokohama s drive tires and 17 year old oem coil packs on there way out

last year my best time was 14.9 1/4 with a 2.4 60 foot, 95mph trap, (all my launches suck, i cant drive)

this year i switched to michlin pilot super sport + okada coil packs + takeda intake and the results where 14.5 1/4 and 2.2 foot 97mph trap ( same shitty bog launches)

Here is mine on the AP2. I used superglue for my loose window. My engine sound is noticeably louder after 4500 RPM, and at VTEC, it really roars! My butt dyno tells me there is definitely pull at mid range RPM. This is the only mod in my car. I've never heard or used the K&N FIPK so I can't compare.

Nice! Glad to hear you're liking it. I received mine a couple days ago and am looking forward to installing it. Did you end up needing to drill a hole for the temperature sensor? I too have an +06 and read in the instructions that a hole should be drilled for cars equipped with one. Also, good idea on the super glue. What kind did you use and how did you apply it?

Bizhan, I did have to drill a hole, but that's the only thing I had to really do. I used Loctite for glue. I just used the pointed tip and squeezed on the edge, just four small spots. It kinda works its way under the window. However, you do see the glue markings, but they doesn't bother me. It's solid now.

the super glue will eventually crack, to rigged, should have used silicone, its flexible and rolls with the punches, ie vibrations
