I wonder how did that valve bent? ...

Did you have this problem since you bought the car? (I am assuming you bought the car used)

yes i bought the car used and i am the second owner...i didnt over rev it, so that puts it on the first owner. unless someone else that drove it when it was in the first guys possession did it. the dealer says theres no other way for a valve to get messed up than an over rev

i was really hoping someone would respond with yea rick case is great, they wont rip you off...guess not

Well, here's the thing. Who told you that the valve(s) is/are bent? I hope its not the the guys at rick case, because if it is......chances is that its not the valve that is bent. It's their knowledge on valves.

If you want, I can offer you this much:

Ask the guy to give you the bent valve/s and send me a PM ... I can check them for you and tell you whether they are bent .0005" or .010" or .00000" (not bent) ... Hopefully when you ask for the valves they give you S2000 valves ...

To me it sounds very fishy that the valves are "bent" out of the blue ...

they told me they are bent and i told them prior to pulling the head that if valves are bent i want to see them. but i mean heck if they want they can bend them themselves right?

as far as their knowledge goes im extremely skeptical at this point. if i end up keeping the car long enough to see if the cel comes back even after a valve job, then i am going to go back there and probably end up getting arrested

a couple of years ago , a guy call me telling me that his car was over at rick case and that they told him that he had bent valves, when they told him it was going to be over $3k worth the work he took his car and brought it to our shop. After doing a leak down test and found nothing wrong with it.Mi next step was to have my wiring guy take a look at it and we found out that the car wasn't starting because of the alarm. Yes it was Rick case Honda and I spoke to the tech that checked out the car when it was there (wich I knew him) and he admited that they were slow and need it to make some money.

That was really f**k up.

Like i said B4, good luck with them and let me know if i could be helpfull.

Like I've always said, dealers are scammers, period.

Good luck man!
