so the shop foreman just returned my message...apparently the machine shop doesnt provide an itemized list to the dealer, but hes going to contact parts and see what he can do...when i said i want proof to show a potential buyer that it has all new valves, and not this vague ass bill that doesnt say shit, hes like why would you want to tell them that? because im not a damn crook and i dont lie and cheat like dealers...wow unreal man
1, They did not document repairs done properly, if I were you I would go to the operations manager not service but operations manager, and explain to him youve just spent xxx dollars on repairs and you have no idea what was done. they told you one thing but the invoice says another. you dont know what was installed or what was actually done to the head. this is a big no n. documentation is everything. especially in the car buissness
2, if all starts failing, ask for the district managers contact number, his name is maurice narbona. if needed I can supply you with his number. explain to him they are not following the proccess and you would hate to score them below excellent on the survey that affects there bonus and pay check
3, complain complain complain to the GM, they say you can contact rick and rita case anytime you have a problem, do it.
your cars a 04? would you mind sharing your vin with me threw a PM so I can check some stuff out on hondas network?

Dude, talk to GDM S2K. Give him your vin and get ALL the help, #'s and names you can get, trust me.
Always get:
names
dates and times you spoke (time as in
)
the number of times you spoke
and like GDM said, document, document document.
The one thing I've learned in business is ALWAYS COVER YOU ASS in black and white hard copies. (paper)

woowwwww, call Rick case him self, his # is on the business cards anyways, (so they say).
BTW: I have been working on cars since 1997 and never seen broken valve guides with out messing up any valves or better yet I can't even think how the valve guides will be bad when the car has low miles.
Call and compleint and make sure you get every penny back that you paid them.

i've got about 300 mi and its not back on yet(crosses fingers)...i dont understand how the machine shop didnt change the valves...i guess since the warranty on the job is only 1yr or 12k mi they can afford to do shitty jobs
so i just got off the phone with the machine shop. at first the poor guy who must be so beaten down by rick case, didnt even want to discuss the job with me. then after i explained to him how these dooshes are treating me, he softened up. and when he realized i had the invoice, he explained it to me willingly. the valves all checked out ok he said. they werent bent. but the exhaust valve guides were bad. also he said had the valves been bad they would have told rick case to provide valves...he says the head is good as new, so i feel a little bit better now
theres got to be some way i can use the actual bill from rick case that says there were bent valves, and that guys statement that they were fine, to own these assholes...ffffuuuuuuu i didnt get it on tape. but his invoice doesnt say anything about bent valves
