I was driving to school this morning and the S threw a cell light. As I was driving it back home I hit a red light and I get the passive smell of gass but I say to my self no biggie. I get home and unplug the battery to reset the ecu and now im getting a smell of gass a little more and the cell is still there. i also just passed the 36000 mile point, any one else have this prob?

 

Aren't you the guy who just had to have his engine worked on?
I suggest you take it back and have em fix it... don't even question it...

 

make sure your gas cap is on correctly. that happened to me. my original gas cap would not seal right. it would click when i turned it but it wasn't actually sealing. i could smell gas from inside the car and my cel light also came on.

i check now but i doubt it.

 

my gass cap was loose but i dont know if that was the culpret until i go for a drive. oh and i receted my cel light again just to be shure.

 

i feel so retarted. it was the gass cap.
