My prescription for any grind is as follows:

1. Fluid dump , fill with either Honda MTF2 or GM synchromesh FM
2. Clutch rod adjustment
3. Dump and refill clutch fluid in MC, do that a couple of times if it is dirty, and wipe down MC if it has deposits.
3. Shifter re-grease
4. Heavier shift knob (optional), sometimes grinds can be affected by the timing of clutch disengagement of your foot vs. shifter movement of the hand.

This can usually take care of most grinding issues, and costs very little and is easy enough for most DIY'ers

GM Synchromesh doesn't last very long, it's wasn't bad for a few thousand KM, then it falls to shit after that.

I personally like Honda MTF and Amsoil MTF. Both last much longer and more consistent.

A good MTF might mask the grind temporarily but you're not addressing the issue (unless perhaps the fluid is extremely old and even then I'm hesitant)

Reverse bleed the clutch. That will make sure that there isn't air in the line that was causing grinds.
