A friend told me it would be the persons fault who made the contact. It would be her fault since she hit the door that was in her parking spot and she didnt make sure it was "clear" before entering. Although the circumstance may not be the same but a drastic example would be if a child ran into the spot and she hit him/her.
Personally i would take full blame for opening my door too far at the wrong time, although technically it makes sense that she is the one that hit me and should be at fault.

I was always under the impression that a vehicle parked on the side of the road (built up areas) had their door hit it was the fault of the parked motorist, since before opening your door you have to check for cyclists, cars,etc. but if your already parked then yea
