I drove beside a white Type R this week, one of the only ones in London from what I've seen and been told. I was pleasantly surprised , I wasn't expecting to like the styling but it grows on you, and I love the three tail pipes. Based on the track performance I see with it outperforming the STi and 370Z on the track the FWD concern seems to be a non-issue.

sarnia area has many typeR's per capita- currently at 3 with only one actually purchased here at our local dealership. I agree Joey, the look has grown on me…and man those seats are the best I've ever sat in.

Had one. Not worth the hype/premium they go for nowadays

Maybe you'll find a dealer willing to honour the agreement and hold the price if you have to wait for 2018 stock.

let's hope canada gets some more colour options- i like that slate grey.

Thanks Darcy! I am not 100% sure I want to go for the Type R, and that's why I haven't really gone to a dealer to put a deposit. I am considering other cars as well ... some a bit more grown up looking.

I'm just amazed at the premium $ they bring these days. Most dealerships couldn't sell them for near MSRP and carried them over for 1-2 years.
Still interested in hearing a s2k owners review of the type R though... anyone...?

These vids may help. I want a CTR also but not willing to pay for the inflation.
