I have an Alpine amp that powers the sub and the door speakers. Not sure of the model # as it was with the car from the previous owner. It gets pretty warm, I don't think it would be a good idea to have it under the sub box. Not enough ventilation. Mine is in the trunk beside the sub box.

Pretty much installed, I just need to reassemble the interior now. Works fantastic in this 18 year old mule.
