Default Idle Re-Learn After Throttle Body Service?

hey, my buddy wants to preform a throttle body service. He works at Nissan and all of the cars that he has preformed this on need to have an idle air control re-learn before the car operates properly. The system that he is using is a Nissan based system however can be used on other makes and models. He is just not sure if he will have to do the re learn after the service is complete. Now he knows that all of the Nissans he does this to have a ETB (electronic throttle body) and his s2k has a cable operated one. Just curious.

I'm pretty sure it only applies to ETB vehicles.

There is a gerneric Honda idle relearn. I don't remember the process but its something like;
-write down radio codes
-unplug pos battery terminal wait 30 sec - 1min
-plug back and and start car
-let idle until operating temp. and let rad fan come on twice
(I think you might even have to hold it at 2000rpm somewhere in that process)

Danio would have access to this tho via i-drive or what ever they call it these days...
