How did you car handle? What kind of tires on what rims did you use? Hardtop or not?

Thanks!

(Thinking about selling my GSR and buying a hardtop + Winter tires/rims)

Winter came 1 week after I took delivery. I found a set of 7" X 16" ADR wheels and put stock size Blizzaks on the back and stock size Goodrich Winter Slaloms on the front. If you drive with some smarts, no problem, just don't think you can drive like you would on warm, dry ground. I used the block heater whenever it got below -10*C. The engine fires up immediately and the heater puts out heat within a couple of minutes. My hardtop didn't come till Spring so this winter will be the first one with it. It's now on the car and unless the weather surprises us in a "hot" way, the HT will stay on for the duration. Don't brush the snow off the plastic window like I did the first winter. This scratched the heck out of it but plastic polish and Plexus has worked miracles. Drifting into corners is great fun and so is doing donuts. Stay out of the ruts as the ground clearance can be a problem if the roads don't thaw for a while. Just drive on top, next to the tire tracks and you'll be fine. Give the underside a good hosing now and again to keep the salt from staying on too long. I've been under the car since last winter and the car didn't suffer any from winter living.
