Weekend trip to the Keys
#11
We went for my friends bday last year. 13 of us in a 3bdrm house for a week. It was a blast but on the night of his bday he was drunk when we walked passed those "bars" and all he saw was karaoke and "pune" (his work for girls). We had to drag him away telling him that it was NOT pune and he REALLY didn't want to go in there.

I'm debating over just getting a hotel room for a couple nights or trying to find a house to rent, etc. Also, what are some fun things to do while vacationing in the Keys? I know the drive will be a blast.
I can recommend a few restaurants:
Breakfast at Sarabeth's Key West (sit down)
or
Croissants de France (more of a bakery, but has sit down)
Lunch/Dinner at:
El Siboney (Cuban)
Salsa Loca (Mexican)
Santiago's Bodega (Tapas)
There are more, but those are some examples.

Key West is an interesting place and if you are going there I would suggest the "SouthernMost Hotel" it is at the end of Duval Street and within walking distance to most bars etc.
I would almost have to suggest taking Card Sound Rd. out of FL City instead of the 18 mile stretch as they're still completing construction on the new roadway and people tend to go under the 35-45mph speed limit and it gets annoying after a few miles. Card Sound has a $1 toll (no Sunpass) but plenty of curves to keep you entertained, just be careful after the midway stop sign, cops tend to hide on the second half of the road.

I was told they passed an law now that if you want to rent a house you have to rent it for atleast a month. This was done to discourage partying. I was told this by a friend that was just down there.
