Default Valentine One - Anyone using?

Tossing around the idea of getting a V1. Anyone rocking one? Feedback? I'm sure there's other good ones out there, but I can't get over the Kool-Aid factor. I drank it and I want one. Lol

I regret selling mine. always worked great. The false readings for construction signs were obnoxious. Not sure if they ever fixed that. I know the highest passport model can learn where the false readings are

Yeah, I was reading up on the new GPS models that can learn your routes etc.

I Love mine and it's saved me countless times.

The main thing is to know how to read it. What I'm finding out these days, is the more the cops have Laser, the harder it is to detect them. You can catch them when the hit other cars.

I've got one ticket with it, and it was laser during off time traffic time. 70 in a 55 on Briley Parkway heading toward the Airport at 7:30 PM. I've had it for over 5 years.

I probably should get it re-flashed with the latest firmware to get the latest protection, but 9 out of 10 times, I can tell when and where the cops are. Once you're used to the arrows, its hard to use a detector without it.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah - I actually found some good comparisons of it versus the 9500. Basically, the V1 does a good job of detecting radar. Laser is what it is as you mentioned. Unless you're jamming you're SOL. However, the V1 negatives are the continuous false positives. This is what the 9500 does using GPS to learn your routes and to block out the BS alerts you get. Also, it has a POI data base for light cameras and speed cameras too.

I have heard though once you're used to the arrows it's tough to ditch them. However, the other side of the debate is that...what does it matter what the arrow says....you hear the alert and you take action.
