Default Bigger Problems now

I get out of class tonight, make it out to my car (at lot 13) I take a shuttle to and fro. I begin to put the top down and i hear plastic tearing, two tears (1 about 4 inches long, and another baout 2 inches long are now in my plastic back window. I dont know if its because the car is 7 years old and the plastic just got weathered or sombody slashed it sorta. Im not going to buy a hard top, thats just to expensive.....i want to see if its possible to buy the 03 glass window setup. Maybe keep my motors and what not and just get new canvas and back window? What are my options, how expensive is it? What would you do?

the car is a 00' with 69,000 miles. What would you do? I owe 8 or 9,000 bucks. Im not sure if i should just move on, because it looks like you have to buy the entire setup and that runs really expensive.

You can just buy a top from ebay, find a robbins one, should be aroudn 500 bucks with the glass top. Then another 100 or 200 to have a shop install it. Or you can save the installation money if you have a weekend and a friend.

Go to ebay and get a robbins top!!! once my top was slashed thats what i did with the insurance money. The top was only like 500 shipped. Me and one of my buddies decided to install it ourselves. It has been the best upgrade i have done to the car. Not only does the rear window look great but it will make your car look brand new. Oh yea you can tint the rear window as well, which looks great. Or you can just throw some duct tape on that bad boy like i did when mine cracked for like 5 months .

It can't be that easy to install. I got my top replaced at Gunn (under warranty thank God) and they struggled with it all day long. The next day I went to pick it up and they commented on how hard the damn thing was to install. BTW it was $1700 plus labor.

I changed mine (bought from ebay (robbins tops)) by myself in a day and it wasn't to hard at all; just time consuming.

It's about $450 with the new window and let me tell you WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

btw my top got slashed that's why I got a new one... grrr
