Default Lo Jack Systems

I was chatting with a friend and he said I should get a Lo Jack system installed. Has anyone had their S2K stolen, or broken into? I've heard shipping cars overseas is big business these days. I always think it cant happen to me. The car does get alot of attention, and I have spent a few bucks to get it how I want it. Any sugestions??
Thanks
Kris and Robert

Haven't had it stolen, but do have LoJack. It gets you a teeny break on your insurance. Makes me feel a lot better than not having it.

I agree that full coverage is the best piece of mind for your S2K... unless you go ape sh!t on it like Wes. If you are basically stock, I wouldn't waste the money. Someone recently posted that someone had their top slashed and the seats stolen. Lojack wouldn't help that, but if I lived in Galvetraz I wouldn't park outside at night if at all possible!

Thanks for the replys. I'm in Galveston Co. I live on Tiki Island, It's much nicer here. But I'm Houston alot and you never know there. Go down town park your car, come back no car. I left my motorcycle there for 15 mins and some guy was scoping it out. He wasn't just admiring it. You have to be so cereful around here. By the way that why I live on Tiki. It's really safe here, I love it.
Hey S2K_Redhead are you really a red head? If so, me to. Really strawberry blond. God we look good in our red S2K!
Thanks to all! Hope everyone got to run around with the top down this weekend like me.
See ya!
Kris

i read a report a few years back that recovery rate with lojack is 90% with in hours of reporting theft. however, those numbers include cars burned, vandelized, or parts stolen. if it will give you peace of mind, get them. how much do they cost? $300?

90% thats high, I wonder how many of those were totaled. Can't be too many if they were recovered within an hour.
I priced them at a dealership and they charge $500 or $600 I dont remember. Thats for system 1. Just the recovery system. They also have alarms and other packages. I was told most get system 1. They can even come to you to install it.
I'm leaning toward getting it. Maybe Robert will relax, where ever we go he wants to be able to see it. We eat out alot, and we always sit where we can see the car. It's usualy entertaining. Especialy now that I have the new badges. People walking around it, leaning into it. One day at Hooters, one guy just got too close and I hit the panic button I couldn't resist it. It was mean I guess, but it was soo funny. I know you guys all go through the same thing, and know what I'm talking about.
Thanks s22k for the info I didnt relize they have such a high rate of recovery.

I heard that there are 4 or 5 companies other than
Lo Jack that offer the same service.
It might be worth looking into.
