Hi folks,

Recently I've had a ratting sound coming from the boot. I've found that it's those 2 black metal bars in the boot. I've placed a blanket between them to solve the problem. Does anyone know what they are?

Spring mechanism for the boot?

 

The thin ones that get in the way when going for the spare tyre?

They are the left and right torsion bars and are for the boot mechanism.

Where they cross there is supposed to be a piece of rubber, its wrapped round one of the bars.

 

 

Ahh, I bet thats what is rattling in mine - thought it was the autochanger, but this sounds more likely
