Firstly, any one who has the standard air filter and has not taken the air filter lid off, you really are missing out!!!

I've noticed though when the lid is off the fan seems to cut in allot quicker, I can even let the engine cool, turn it back on (so I have 2 bars on the temp gage) and the fan is running.

Any one else noticed it?

I have a JDM so my engine runs on a higher pressure, could that have any thing to do with it?

I have my box cover off (have done for 10k) and not heard my fan cut in during this time. I get stuck in the usual commuting jams etc..
