I had a kenwood and changed to Alpine and the quality was noticeable. The Alpine unit had improved clarity with a stronger signal... overall boosted the performance of the sound system dramatically... buying an IPOD ready one for the S2k soon...

I have always had JVC units, seem to be good on the whole and resonably priced.

 

Agreed - Bose stuff is Horrendous....especially in cars - it has no real bottom end to it.

My Ultimate would be a nakamichi head, with Genesis S3 amps, my JL10W7 and focal components....but as it is, I've stuck with a lower level Genesis, an Alpine amp and an Alpine Head Unit. The sub IS my ultimate one though
