I ended up using a local garage who have done brilliantly - quite impressed with them!
They have had a few S2000's for servicing, they have a good reputation and are great with modified vehicles. I get the car back tomorrow after getting a full 4 wheel alignment. Corner weighting being done next week at Dumpsport in Hassocks, West Sussex.

Can't fricking wait!
Who was the local garage?

It was all going so well! I had to get a push start from Dan on the last Sussex meet - the S doesn't get driven too much and being on the road I have no access to a trickle charger. I did buy a
AA solar panel OBD AA solar panel OBD
chargers and it I think it barely manages. Went to start it the other weekend and the dreaded dimming of dash lights was evident.
On Saturday out the battery comes and goes on my Oximiser 900, it's a little slow but overnight did a deep charge and maintain to 12.7 volts. Put the battery back in the car, go to start and all I get is a buzz from the fuel pump. No clicking, no spluttering, nothing. I have lights, indicators, stereo etc, just nothing from the car!

Thoughts?
-New battery? The current one still has 12.7 in it checked last night.
-Whack the alarm casing?! Got a replacement H&P board in Feb!
-Immobiliser issue?

I was going to test the alternator when I got it running to see if it is doing the job.

If it bumps and runs, then it is most likely the battery. Just because you are measuring 12.7v at the terminal doesn't indicate a healthy battery, If it hasn't got the CCA's there ( cold cranking amps ) it won't start her.

Healthy alternator should be between 13.8-14.4v and holding that when all your electrics are on too.

I probably expected as much - there is a thread on batteries here, suggesting the Yuasa from Halfords - HSB053 for £92
Lings were £82.69 plus the shipping £4.50
Si @ Hendy was £63.00 + shipping £4.49
Batteryshop.co.uk were £61.99 + shipping £14.99
Cox's Motorparts were £59.99 + £4.50 shipping
Gave the Hankook MF54524 a miss - came in @ £47 posted but the terminals are the wrong way around and the cranking amps (360) aren't great compared with Yuasa (420).

Spoke to Gatwick Honda and they suggested that the Honda S2000 battery listed for MY00 31500-TT0-G11, has been superseded by the 31500-ST3-111HE

Gatwick Honda price matched the 31500-ST3-111HE to Cox's £59.99, but I paid the extra £6 for postage from Cox's! EPIC!

Bastard thing! So Cox motor parts sent me a new battery - even though I ordered the 111HE, they still sent out the G11, they were the same price, it's the original part - it came in a Honda box, some of the instructions are in russian(?!) script - install the new battery......and.........the same fkn thing!

The alarm appears to be working ok, I am suspect of this H&P Alarm, it was a new board back in Feb/March. But appears to work as the manual described. The green key is lit, something whirs, but when I push the button, NOTHING!

I checked fuses 10 (engine switch),11(ignition coils) and 21(ECM) all seem ok.

Next plan is speak to H&P - any other suggestions?
