Default Car tracker

I was wondering if anyone:

Had ever thought about or purchased a tracker?
New how much a decent one cost?
New if it made much of a differance to insurance policy?

Cheers,

John

yes and as many insurance companies offer a discount for tracker fitted cars then it pays for itself.

I have a tracker and there was no option to indicate this on my insurance application - I think they mostly rely on "factory fitted immobiliser" to gauge insurance premiums these days.

I take the view that I wouldn't want it back if it got pinched (when it was a road car)

This. Plus I don't live / go anywhere dodgy enough that cars get stolen in the first place

I agree with Mark, I wouldn't want mine back if it had been stolen & TBH I don't think a tracker makes a massive difference to a policy.

When the car was worth £20k, perhaps, now it's worth maybe £4k, certainly not
