I'd bet your convertor box is fried.

The ECU can't see a vehicle speed signal from the box, and therefore its stuck the EPS on - I think.

If you are adept with a multimeter you could probably prove it.

So, my best bet would be to take it to someone who knows what they're doing, I guess?

Find a local importer for Jap Cars.

They will be able to supply you with a replacement converter. Its easy to replace it...3 wires in - 3 wires out.

Is there not one on ebay now? IIRC there is or was a day or two ago.

I'm at work so I'm not allowed to use the internet. I'll check when I get home.

Just discovered a new problem this morning though. I pulled off onto a slip road, and geared down to get my foot down, when I experienced an immediate loss of power and slowed to a halt.
It started working again but I don't know if it's related or not. Bugger.

I had this when my converter failed but it was intermittent. A permanent fault confuses the hell out of the car so you will get weird faults.

I wouldn't worry about any of them until you get the converter replaced.
