Nice one. Thanks for your input.

No probs Aj. Thanks for your time buddy.
If it was me I would get the multimeter out and make sure that it aint anything else.

Or take it to a garage and explain the situation and the scenario so they are less likely to rip off if you know what your talking about .

I bet car importers sell them or someone sells them, there loads of JDM honda imported.

If you can get to the underneath of the car, you can remove the box and directly connect the wires.

This will do 2 things - (1) Prove the fault and (2) get you up and running until you have a new box sorted.

The only issue you will have is that your speedo will read KPH for the interim.

Don't the JDM cars have a dash button that converts the speedo between KPH & MPH like the UK Cars? If thats is the case why would you need an aftermarket converter?

No they don't - otherwise we would all have pushed them by now.

Thanks.

I can just about squeeze under it with the Honda jack and my axle stands. There's not enough room for my to work under there though.
I'll find a local place to look at it for me.

Aj, I don't have a multimeter, and wouldn't know what to do with it if I did I'm afraid.

Thanks mate. I did see it but just forgot to reply.
That'll be what I'm after I guess.
I'm going to ring round a few places tomorrow, in the hope I can get it sorted on my lunch on Friday. The Durham Tees Valley meet is on Saturday and it won't do for me to have a poorly car.

Got one of these on order now, assuming it is that that I need.

Rang round a million and one local places to try and get one a bit sooner. Jesus, these things are like gold dust. Nowhere has them.

I looked for some places that might be able to fit it for me too, because I CBA'd to do it myself.
That was damn near impossible as well. I found two places willing to give it a bash, as long as I don't mind driving the 50 miles or so to Newcastle to have it done. Am I just ringing the wrong places or what? Surely it's not that hard if it comes with fitting instructions?

It wont be that hard, get it up on a ramp at a garage so you can see and work easily.

Im sure most garages could do it, its only a few wires!
