Please do carry on the updates as it provides lots of info. Could you take a picture of where the pipe corrodes if you can get access easily enough?

I might have to make a new pipe on mine in the winter as steel fixing to the flexible hose is seized solid so will have to cut and reflare with new section of pipe or replace the whole section. If you do go this option of making a pipe then go for a nickel copper mix as its abit more resistant to going brittle over the years through vibration etc.

Mark, the piece of pipe on mine that has rotted is just past where Honda stuck a bit of plastic sleeve to protect it ( Not enough clearly ), both sides are rotten. Its tricky to see this bit with the subframe in place I thought my pipes were ok as did the last MOT inspector. This only came to light once the subframe was removed. Yes I will be using Copper pipe and making my own up back to a point in the centre of the car where I can flare the ends of the exising pipe that is in perfect condition.

I replaced my brake lines back to the little divert valve near the gear box. Seemed the best option.

I did mine a couple of years ago with the subframe in place.

Had'nt noticed that but not been looking much beyond the rear wheel arches at the moment seems like a good place to join new lines into.

Mine had rusted just beyond the plastic sleeves Honda fitted to stop corrosion in the wheel arch area, another 100mm and both sides would be ok.

Having removed the rear ARB stripped and painted it , its suddenly dawned on me, either side of the bush was split rubber band held in place with drive shaft boot clip, it appeared to be glued on to and came of in bits. Now clearly theses are to stop the ARB wandering around side to side.

Mine are in bits and now in the bin, what have others done to resolve this problem

Bloody Ell! We are like brothers from another mother I'm sure I've seen more of the bottom of my car than the top. If you changed the person for a good looking dude it could easily be me under there. .

Bit of progress this week end , nothing exciting , no pics , just prepped and painted all of the clean bare metal under the rear end with POR15 in preparation for Dinitrol Under-seal.

Also waxolyed the inside of the rear subframe on the bench.

Need to waxoly all box sections to rear of car next weekend and apply under-seal
