Diff rebuild prices

Looked into this a long while ago worked out about £100 per kg of material ish so fairly expensive in reality. Offered stronger products but if done incorrectly can make them brittle.. also decreases friction significantly. Very common for brake discs surprisingly enough and in usa more commonly used as its more readily available.

I don't suppose there is a place which can buff the diff internals up is there?
I read about a cryo service or something a while back but it came with a hefty price tag ...

If it not being rebuild for a specific reason, such as changing the final drive, I'd be tempted to just get one from a breaker.
If you go this route, facelifts have a revised stronger diff casing.

Some more research on the US parts sites reveals it was changed on the AP2 after 06 when the part no was 41170-PCZ-A51

Thread Revival!
Has anyone had recent experience on diff rebuilds? Looking for a guide on price and best place to do it. TGM still a good bet?
Also, has anyone done a final drive change using the components from an RX8 diff (FD 4.44) Apparently mazda developed the diff's and sourced out to Kia and Honda.

I would love to fit one of these to my S2000 - I have fitted this type of diff to most of my previous cars and it is a great bit of kit. http://www.cplracing.co.uk/products.php?productid=40 Not sure if many people fit Quaife Diffs to S2000 but I would love to try it some day.
