Default Disabling the auto lock function thing

Not sure if this is a pre / post 04 thing but my alarm system locks the doors on the car after a very short period of time, and it's inevitable that it's going to do it with the keys still in it at some point!

Can it be disabled?

And no I don't have the manual for it

If you unlock the car, but don't open any of the doors or the boot for 30 seconds it will lock itself again.

Presumably some sort of accidental button press measure.

If you open any of the doors it shouldn't do it from then on out though, till you lock it again....

+1 also won't lock with keys in the ignition with engine off or running (bit cleaver that). Same on my '56.

This is the standard Honda fitted alarm action, works like that on the misses Jizz.

Like they said open a door to tell the alarm you have "got in"
If no doors are opened it relocks, quite a few modern cars do it

and have AA cover for when the inevitable happens and your keys are in the pocket of the jacket you've just put in the boot. I hate that sinking feeling when you slam the boot lid shut and watch the indicators flash as the car locks itself with keys inside.
