Default Do Enkei PF-01 Wheels clear 330mm K Sport Big Brake Kit?

Hi guys,

I am considering buying a K Sport 330mm Big Brake Kit for use in my S2000. I already have the kit on my Evo with Carbotech XP10 pads and its stunningly good for my use!

On my S2000 I have 17" Enkei PF-01 Wheels with the Front being 17x8 et50 offset - has anyone used this kit that can confirm the kit clears?

I've done a search and a few posts seem to confirm the wheels have good BBK clearance and seem to clear the stoptech calipers - but I am not sure if the stoptech are larger or similar size to the K Sport.

Thanks for any advice and input.

K Sport and D2 are not very good at all. They are the same manufacturer in Asia...
Buddyclub and wilwood do BBKs for not much more than K Sport...

Hi,

If I was heavily into track days and was a driver of higher ability I'd probably agree with you - but for fast road use and occasional track use they are great. When I upgraded to them from the standard brembos on my Evo I was shocked at how good they were. The more professional drivers on MLR (Evo owners club) have said the modulation is not as good as AP/Willowood etc the K Sport are used a lot on the cars that take place in the MLR Sprint series and time attack as well as many happy general users which is why I thought they would be a good option for my s2000.

I don't use the standard pads however (they apparently are terrible), I combine them with carbotech xp10 pads and the stopping power is immense. I'm sure there are other better kits out but for the money I was very impressed.

K sport kits with 2 piece rotors and hardware:
304mm 6 pot is 900 GBP
330mm 8 pot is 925 GBP
It is weird the small difference in price.

Buddyclub do a very good quality kit 4 pots 330mm for about 990 GBP (1 piece rotors though)

Wilwood not so sure but about 1100 GBP incl 2 piece rotors...

I personally think is worth the difference.

I am going to get myself a set of standard 300mm Performance Friction 2 piece rotors with some 97 and 11 pads for standard calipers which will be more than fine I assume

I use Stoptech bbk and they fit, so you could find both templates and compare. Spoke clearance is no issue its the inner rim of the wheel which is tight. Wheel weights don't fit and I have to have them on the inside of the rim.

I've had K-sport brakes for about three years and they have been faultless.

I'd have another set.

Get some templates sent to check clearances

I think K sport (and D2 which are exactly the same) have changed in the last few years and have reduced the quality, but it is only my opinion of course.

Are those prices up to date?

I'm sure I paid around £750 for my set that I got for my Evo. Think prices have gone up recently???
