I have removed my entire air pump system.

An optional extra that cuts down emmisions on cold starts and does nothing else?

£2k to replace? If mine ever goes wrong i'm binning it

Its either the pump/brushes or the relay itself IMO, the relay is a PITA to remove as its high up out of the way behind the bumper.

I'd remove mine if i could, with most aftermarket ECU you can remove it.

Thanks god they don't do cold start emissions test on MOT's .

I got quoted some silly figure for an air pump

Luckily people breaking S2000's on ebay had no idea they were this sort of money new so a used one was sourced for around £40 delivered.

I nearly dropped my phone when they told me it would cost £2000. But with the warranty covering it I wasn't so bothered, what got me was the fact they had only serviced it 2 weeks ago!

And then they had the cheek to say my clutch needed replacing and would cost £1000. I guess with the lovely new building at Crown Honda Hendon, they need to claw back some money to pay the builders.
