I just drove seven miles home and she was fine...no hint of heavy steering at all.

Go get the S2000 workshop CDROM from here or eBay.
It covers everything like this including test and diagnostics.

I've got the PDF manual on my laptop at home. Unfortunately I was over my friends house yesterday evening so was unable to access the desired info.

Good news so far though, the EPS light hasn't come on, despite driving the car numerous times today.
