Default Face lift rear bumper conversion

I have just purchased the face lift rear bumper for my 2003 S2000 and from what I can see it looks like a straight forward conversion and I will only have to make a couple of mounting brackets. The reason am converting is I have a Tanabe exhaust and I think the exhaust fits and looks a lot better with the face lift bumper due to the exhaust cut outs being bigger.

The only issue I see with this conversion is relocating the rear fog light as the face lift model has the fog light built into the rear lights on the newer versions. I could buy new rear lights but am not keen on cutting the panel behind the lights to make them fit.

Has anyone else done a similar conversion? I thought about installing a temporary fog lamp on a bracket under the bumper for MOT testing and have it so I can remove it after it's through it's MOT. Not sure how easy it would be install a bright red LED light into the original rear light but it could be a possibility. Anyone else got any idea's?

Remove fog light. Clip 2 wires to fog light. Remove reverse light to rear right hand side cluster. Buy a red bulb that fits this. Put red bulb in rever holder Connect 2 fog light wires previously snipped to reverse light bulb holder you need wire and 2x wire connectors. Change fog light fuse for a higher number maybe 20 to suit new bulb . Ensure to seal hole in boot where rubber grommet is as grommet will no longer sit properly and will leak use silicone etc. Also use silicone on boot vent as bumper is off car

Red bulb for fog light to comply mot.
Right hand side to comply mot.
Height is fine.

I can supply pictures if required.

It's dead easy. My car has passed 2 x mot since doing this.

Cheers for the info, yeah that sounds like a good idea I will just convert one of the reverse lights to the new fog light. Do you know which kind of bulb you used? If you have pictures that would be great
