Hardtop Fitting Kit Instructions
My hard top fitting kit arrived today from hardtopguy, but the brackets look like some metal parts need to be removed from near the motor cogs?...I may be wrong.
I had a quick look at the faq but coldnt see anything of help so does anyone else have any instructions or have done this before?

It is in the FAQ somewhere!
The side brackets (where the spikes go in) just bolt onto the side of the car behind the rear panels. You will have to hammer a part of the metal of the fram on the car in to allow fitting of the side bits.

Yeah i can see where they would go but there is a metal lump in the way. I guess that is the bit that needs 'hammering'.
Scanned the FAQ and it defo isnt there. Just feel a bit apprehensive about taking a hammer to the car if you know what i mean

Edit - wrong link. Give me 2 mins.
They will bolt on ok, but you wont be able to get them anywhere near tight as there's a piece of the grey metal frame in the way. It needs hammering with a spike.

TIP - Dont bang it too hard, or you pull one of the bolt holes out of alignment and you wont get it to line up with the one in the car!
