Default Help!

Could anybody tell me how to remove the factory fitted radio cassette. The dealer said that It is not screwed in, just give it a good pull and the whole panel, including the vent and flap comes out. I have tried giving It a good pull but no joy. Has anybody found an easier way?

With the flap down, hold the flap and pull firmly but smoothly from the bottom. The entire flap and cover will come off (ie around the sides of the stereo, this will reveal ( I think) a couple of screws that allow the removal of the head unit.

Tyringe has definitely done this (to fit the harness for the rear speakers).

Hope that helps

A short, widebladed screwdriver lightly wrapped in electrical tape helps a great deal IMO.

I use it to gently pry up the bottom corners on each side and then the top edge (above the vents if memory serves) then a little gentle coaxing eases it out...

I think lucid's website should have details too Lucid Automotive in his guide section.

Thanks, that seems to do the trick.
