HELP! How do I stop my alarm?!
Having returned home this morning after three weeks in Florida, I decided to fit the Hardtop. It went on OK but I must have done something stupid in my jet-lagged state because the security alarm went into the 'I'm being stolen' mode and I cannot stop it. It stops after about three cycles of blaring but starts again immediately I try to start the engine or wind up the window. The car is immobilised on my driveway, with driver's window fully open, so I cannot lock the car nor drive it into the garage. Pressing the 'off' button on the key fob makes the sidelights flash but the engine/window motors are still immobolised and there is a constant repetetive beep.beep.beep.beep.beep - beep.beep.beep.beep.
Any advice, p-l-e-a-s-e !!

Thanks, guys.
It was a low battery. There was enough power start the engine to drive the car out of the garage, and to wind up the passenger window after fitting the hardtop, but obviously there was nothing left to wind up the driver's window or restart the engine. Strange that the low charge led to an alarm misfunction because that itself must take up a lot of battery power - I suppose the alarm reckons it is being tampered with.
I connected jump leads to Sylvia's Civic and the S2k started first time. I then went for a long spin to charge the battery and everything now seems fine. (I had almost forgotten what VTec feels like).
I am surprised that non-use for three weeks could cause such a battery drain. Should I do something to prevent this in future - such as disconnecting a fuse or something? Obviously disconnecting the battery would be an answer but it would be a pita having to re-enter the audio unit code every time.
Thanks again.

Glad you got it sorted out Vernon.
Keep an eye on it for a bit just in case it's not holding charge properly, there was a batch of dodgy batteries giving up the ghost. If it's holding charge after your drive around it's probably fine.
