Default Infinity Reference...

I'm looking at replacing the front speakers.. had a bit of a search around the forums.. and have always liked the infinity reference range..

Has anyone fitted the REF6530cs before? I'm thinking it should fit with an MDF spacer at least..

Thanks,
Me

I'm pretty sure they will fit, but you might do better in the Electronics forum here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=26

I fitted some of these (or maybe the 6520cs if such a model exists) about a year go. Easy fit with an MDF spacer (10 or 12mm if I recall correctly). Use stencil they provide for a rough shape, but you will need to cut some corners off, just take a look at the shape in the door versus your pre-tweaked shape.

The real bastard bit is the wiring........ Also be sure to cover the backs of the speakers to protect them from any water that may leak down inside the window sill. The OEM speaker trays have a backing to them, you MDF spacers wont and you dont want water on your new speakers! I essentially sat a small plastic back around the back of the speaker and kept it in place by wedging it between the speaker and the spacer. You'll see what I mean when you come to do it. Good luck.
