Worried about the mounting depth. I remember finding the max depth the s2k can handle in the FAQ, but can't find it anymore. Sorry

I currently have the CK6, which performs SUPERB
but I have a chance to upgrade to their flagship model for cheap. Want to make sure it fits

the CK6s fit right now no problems, but it only has a mounting depth of 2.5"

Let me know please! I have to order them by tomorrow, lol

haha, i saw those on DIYMA too.

I'm thinking with the humongous magnet you'll need a pretty fat spacer, especially since the window comes down slightly angled.

With a 1" spacer you need to shave the back of the door panel.

I'm using 3/4" mdf spacer right now. Should I pass on them?
I don't want to touch any trim pieces to make them fit. Only normal spacers

after more research, i think they will fit

after digging up really old threads, some people say the stock mounting depth is 2.2"
3/4" spacer makes it ~2.95"

should be just enough without having to file the door card

awesome. These speakers are going to be BEAST
I don't even have an amp powerful enough to feed them

current amp is only 300/2 lol

I just installed these and they barely fit, I had to shave the inside of the door panel some where it has that foam rim. Also, the custom mounts were bout 1/2'' thick. By the looks of those speakers, they are alot more that 3'' IMO

Would the CK6's work OK on a new Alpine/Sony HU's internal power? How difficult is installation, and does the spacer push the door panels out?

I have Polk MM6501's on the way, and am torn between their high efficiency vs. what I expect to be better SQ w/ the CK6.
