Ordered on the 15th sept and the S arrived and collected on the 22nd Oct.
Would have posted the good news earlier, but i have been out in her every opportunity, nearly up to 600 miles and its only been 2 days.

There are some really lovely roads near ilkley if you make the wrong turn when trying to get to the M1.
The Yorkshire downs are very picturesque.

I can now see why everyone loves the S so much and it is instantly addictive

Yep, I used to live in Ilkley (now virtually a retirement home). Nice roads over to Skipton on the A65. Some good pubs, too!

Well done on your purchase, simmo. It took me 3 weeks to do 600 miles!

Good to see you've got her Simmo.

I'll keep an eye out for you, and also prepare myself for the calls I will now get from my bemused mates..........."Was that you driving through Apsley 10 minutes ago - I did wave, but you ignored me.......!!!"

Nice one Simmo Good, isn't it?

Pete

PS
I'm at 1,050 miles now and reaching 7,500 rpm now and again. Redline time is only 450 miles away now!

Can't agree more. In fact, probably my favourite little route is only a little way off the A65, near Bolton Abbey.

Not really the weather for those roads though

Peeps,

Those roads are nice and i was lucky that it had not been raining, so i could at least get a feel for the car before hitting the M1 and being given the baptism of fire. Lashing rain for most of the way home.

Getting near that magic 600 mile marker only 30 more to go then but only to the recommeded rev range thou . As for the oil it has been great not a drop yet, but i am sure that will change.
