Default A LEAK ALREADY!

Hey Guys. Pulled up earlier in the car and was sitting there for a bit and noticed water running down the speaker front. I've managed to locate the leak but cant seem to stop it. It seems to get in where the window meets the rubber seal. About in line with the wing mirror. It then runs down the side of the dash and all down the speaker front. Any Ideas? I've tried fiddling with the rubber and putting the window up and down but not much success. It only happens when sitting still. I also noticed that where the water runs off the front corner of the soft top (Passenger Side), the rubber just catches it there but it just runs out further down which is where the leak occurs.
Please Help. I've owned a leaky car before and they don't smell very nice.

Anyone who can solve my leaky problem I'll give a big snog, at the first meet I get to.

What age is your car?

Maybe you need new seals? I would have thought that the fact that it only leaks when stationary would be due to the fact that when moving the water is forced back over the car?

Yep, this is pretty common. When left parked in the rain, water accumulates in the rubber seals and then tips out of one of the three joins when you move.

A bit of silicone grease on the seals and inside the rubbers can help, as can adjusting the roof, new striker plates, new rubbers and so on. If you do a search for "leaks", you'll find a wealth of information and possible cures.

It's a bit hit and miss I'm afraid

Here's a recent thread:

and here's the search results https://www.s2ki.com/search/forums?query=ro...forum=25&topic=

Good luck with sorting it

The whole door glass can be adjusted (tilted) to pull tighter onto the seals.
Its fairly easy to see how once the door card is taken off the inside.

Steve.
