Default Locking S2000 with hood down

Hi
Please could someone tell me how to lock (immobilise) the S2000 (MY04) without activating the motion sensors. I have tried to follow the owners manual but without success.

Thanks

Doesn't the '04 have keyholes?

The immobiliser comes on itself after 30 seconds anyway, so all you need to do is lock the doors.

I have tried locking the car with the key rather than the remote but the motion sensors are still active.

Do the motion sensors come on with the roof down, when you lock it?

on the 02's you arm it again with a few seconds, and the alarm beeps three times to tell you you've de-activated the sensors.

This won't help...

Pre-04's one locks with the remote - four flashes; push button again immediately - 3 flashes - no motion sensors. Assume the 04 must have similar sequence - if it doesn't work - back to the dealer?
You cd temporarily restrict the field of the motion sensors by rotating them?

I thought the 04 had a different sensor which meant you didn't need to disable it if the top was down? That's not to say you shouldn't be able to disable it.

You could try a different thread title aimed at '04 owners - if it can be done these are the guys who can help you.

You maybe right there. They could have switched to microwave sensors and therefore you won't need to disable them. (Cause they are much better)
