I know you said you are looking for some thing in Manchester but can you not drop it off & pick it in Chester up in your normal working day?

Lots of people slate Kwikfit but TBH I have used the one in Chester numerous times & the guys there actually know what they are doing.

The service manager there is very good.
Thanks for the info matey, it's much appreciated

I enjoyed parking next to you last week (one of the rare occasions I had to go into the office)

No reason at all why you can't get it MOT'd at any time during the year. But obviously you only get 12 months from when it's done.

I'm going to book mine into the garage that's half a mile from work tomorrow, never been there before. The owner has a modded Civic parked outside. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or not.

If you're in Chester/passing through I can recommend DJ Motors. Whilst not a specialist he's generally knowledgeable and looked after mine for the last 5 years I think (trying to remember because he moved from one place to opening his own place). Done a few freebies/discounted jobs for me since he's seen me a few times (just simple stuff like OBDII testing but stuff your average dealer would try to bend you over for). Most importantly I trust the guy. I was within earshot of a blue rinse old dear whilst picking my car up recently who'd also had her MOT done. His comment was "It's passed ok. These are advisories. I have to make them due to the regulations but honestly I wouldn't spend any money on it if I were you. They'll last till next year easily". It'd have been so easy for him to have been booking her in for an appointment and fleecing her on it
