Sorry everyone if this is a repeat of something that's gone on before. I've just got to this forum via the U.S. (where I located some fabulous looking headrests). Are we saying that the distortion from the sound system is due to inadequate speakers (rather than the unit's amp) and, if so, are there official Honda replacement units that overcome this problem?

PS - Just having hard-top fitted today and have bought a BMW Z3 trolley with cover to store it in the good months

Certainly part of the problem with the UK stereo is the speakers - I've the upgraded speakers which are a big improvement. A lot of people have changed speakers to big effect, some have also changed head unit.

I initially changed the speakers. There was some improvement in the sound but the S2000 is quite trebbley so I swapped the head unit too. Don't miss the steering controls but I'd get an Alpine head unit now....

Why the mention of the Alpine Head Unit? Does that have a facility for the steering controls?
