I'm pretty sure a lot of people on here think the S2000 is a supercar.

Those that do, have you been in a really fast car; I mean a really fast car?

After a year or two of the S the power is understood - its nice power; its a great motor but its no supercar.

As time goes on, comparatively, that stat is not getting any better.
true.. true

i'm with saxo on the grading.. although i think 0-100 in sub 10s is a supercar.. S2000 is just a sporty roadster.

i had a play with a 911 GT3 RS once.. that pished all over me in every regard.. that IS a supercar in my opinion... made me look like a spiv in an mx5

on a VX/Elise note, they do tend to be set-up for acceleration to 100 rather than top speed, so that would explain the incident that Gad had...

An uber salloon will always beat a sardine can on a long straight!
I thought it seemed fast enough up to about 80 (which is fine if that's where you have your fun) - then not so fast

who needs a long straight?

[QUOTE=Saxo Boy,Feb 17 2006, 12:29 PM] I pulled him back in pretty quickly and breezed past putting on a good 4-8 car lengths on the otherside before the quartermile mark.

you just have to make sure you play to your strengths - whatever the car

the S will hold its own in dry conditions on twisty back roads

it will get murdered in many drag races

the opposite is true for many cars

Well look at that quote and consider your last entry; it makes all these 'kills' seem pretty futile.

Pecking order is a great thing.

People in real money motors must look at this market sector and piss their pants.

Its like a bunch of flies buzzing in ears, trying to be noticed; trying to get a step ahead, trying to show one droid how another droid is boss.

We're all guilty of it; and its pitiful.

I need more beer.
Thats how my dad see's it.
When i took the S over to show him he respected it but doesn't understand my love for it. Does not like jap cars, now yes he is 45 and when younger it was BMW, Merc and porsche that he aspired to.

He told me too buy a boxster S

He currently drives a 05 Carrera 4 3.6 model and obviously i get to take it out and it is lightning. yes there are faster porsches ( he is currently eying the turbo s) but that is awesome power. we had a wee race and i was in v-tec before he came after me and he just sailed past.

Thats a supercar
